How Therapy Changed The Way I Lead My Company

Therapy changed 3 core things about how I lead: *1. I stopped reacting, started responding*   Before therapy I took feedback and mistakes as personal attacks. I’d get defensive or angry.   After therapy I learned to pause. Now when there’s a problem I ask “what’s the data, what’s the cause” instead of “who’s to blame.” My team brings me problems earlier because they don’t fear me. *2. I learned to delegate and trust*   I used to micromanage because I didn’t trust things would be done “right.” Therapy showed me that was about my own anxiety and need for control.   Now I set clear expectations, give ownership, and check in on results not process.
