Africa is sitting on gold. Literally.
These 10 countries control some of the biggest natural resources on earth, and they power industries worldwide.
1. Nigeria*

*Uses*: Fuel, electricity, cooking gas, cement production. Nigeria is Africa’s biggest oil + gas producer.
2. Democratic Republic of Congo - DRC*
*Resources*: Cobalt, Copper, Diamonds, Gold
*Uses*: Cobalt powers your phone + EV batteries. Copper for wiring. DRC supplies over 70% of the world’s cobalt.
3. South Africa*
*Resources*: Gold, Platinum, Coal, Diamonds
*Uses*: Jewelry, car catalytic converters, electricity generation. Has the world’s largest platinum reserves.
4. Algeria*
*Resources*: Natural Gas, Crude Oil

Most of these resources are *exported raw*. The real money is in processing them locally.
